Meditation - The Definition

Meditation - The Wiki Definition

In an up close and personal look at my own Meditation practices, I will give a complete account of the meditation I learned as a boy.  This form of meditation is no doubt Transcendental.  I did however learn my own version of this technique, and no adult actually ever told what "kind" or "type" or even the name of the Meditation.  The instructors simply called it a Meditation.

1.  Get Comfortable - It's important to be comfortable, and if you can stay away good for you.  Most people including myself, fall asleep quite easily when meditating.  This is great, it's a fantastic way to train the mind to actually fall asleep when it is time to go to bed.

2. In your Mind's Eye - Picture your body - Surrounded with Red Light. Warm Soothing Red Loving Light
this light comes from you.  It surrounds you, and permeates every fiber of your being.  The light goes out from you in every direction...to the edges of the Universe.  You are connected to everything.  Take a Slow Deep Breath.

3. Now - Picture your body - Surrounded with Orange Light. Warm Soothing Red Loving Light
this light comes from you.  It surrounds you, and permeates every fiber of your being.  The light goes out from you in every direction...to the edges of the Universe.  You are connected to everything.

Repeat step 3 - with Yellow, Green, Blue, Violet and White Light. Remember to take a big slow deep breathe in between visualizing yourself surrounded by each color of light...

When you've fully visualized White light...surrounding you, permeating and enveloping your entire self.  See in your mind's eye, three steps leading upward. Walk up the three steps.

You are now in the most vivid and beautiful Nature Scene you can imagine.  It can have whatever features you want.  Whatever your favorite or most lovely fantasy nature scene looks like.  It is yours now.  Here in this place.
